Mark’s Kitchen Is Up For Sale

It’s been a rollercoaster of emotions for Takoma Park foodies. After 36 years, Mark’s Kitchen was set to close its doors for the last time as owner Mark Choe readied himself for retirement. That is, until February 1st, when last-minute visitors noticed a new sign on the front doors.

“Sorry for the confusion. Mark’s Kitchen will remain open until the business is sold.”

Fans of Korean Steak and Bibimbap can rest easy for just a little while longer. Mark’s Kitchen, a hallmark of the Takoma Park food scene, is going to stay open until further notice. But if you don’t want to miss out on some great Korean food, there’s no time to waste.

36 years is a long time to be working – especially if it’s running a restaurant. While the most avid fans of Mark’s can attest to the tastiness of the vegetable curry, the extra spicy kimchi, and the gingerbread for dessert, there’s no denying that making all this great food takes a lot of work.

Restaurants are backbreaking, pun very much intended. Whether you’re a dishwasher, a sous-chef, a waiter, or the maître d’ at Dorsia’s, you have to go above and beyond what customers expect if you want to deliver a dining experience to remember.

All that work can take a toll on your body. Fortunately, a skilled chiropractor can help you ease your chronic pain and get you back in the apron.

Chiropractors You Can Trust

At AmeriWell Clinics, we know that hard work is hard on the body. You don’t need to work in construction or a factory to get hurt on the job, and sometimes even office work can lead to long-lasting, nagging pain that just won’t go away.

When you get in touch with a Takoma Park chiropractor from one of our clinics, you’re taking the first step towards recovery and wellness. And if you’ve never had a chiropractic appointment, we’ll walk you through the whole process.

What To Expect From A Chiropractor’s Appointment

Every injury is different, and the specialists at our clinics know that every recovery plan is different, too. During your first visit, you and your chiropractor will go over your health history to develop a recovery plan that’s tailored just for you. We may ask you about any recent injuries, or the nature of your work to determine what methods or techniques we’ll use in the future.

You chiropractor will also carry out a physical exam to see what can be improved by a chiropractic adjustment. This exam will shed light on whether you may benefit from any of the other services we offer, such as hot or cold therapy.

Understanding A Chiropractic Adjustment

A chiropractic adjustment involves a trained specialist applying a sudden, forceful motion to your spine and joints. This sometimes produces popping, but in most cases that’s actually just nitrogen gasses traveling from point A to point B.

All that popping and cracking is nothing to be afraid of – and depending on the nature of your pain or injuries, you may not hear much cracking at all. Our chiropractors tailor their services on a case-by-case basis, so you may receive hot or cold therapy, or even just gentle manipulation of your back and joints to improve your mobility.
